With no expectations and not really knowing who Steve Aoki was I had a blast. But with of course, a lil' help from my friends... and free drinks. (Picture of them will be posted up soon as Ags or M1k3 cough it up).
After being invited to continue the night at the actual party at Blå (Thanks Again, Steve!) I had to do a quick stop home and put on my dancing shoes. I was reminded why I never wear heals out.
The experience was greater, not being prepared of what to come and what music that would be played. I was amazed of how many girls that was throwing themselves at the guys on stage. Would they have even given them a second glance if they has passed them on the street with no fame and fortune?! NOPE.
I guess all the girls wanted to be the next Cory Kennedy, no matter what cost.
So many things and so many details come to mind as this day pass. A tiny man with long hair, I thought was a woman with a flat chest. A swedish guy that freakishly knew a lot about me. A dude named Jaff with a bag of candy, who after a cab ride home, called us his sisters and said that we could get free kebab if we ever stopped by the shop.
So, nice time at Hunting Lodge, nice time at Blå, nice walk home, nice sleep and NOT nice to wake up the next day.
Things I know about Steve Aoki:
- Devon Aoki is his younger sister.
(I hear some "Duuuh"s, but I really did not put two and two together on that one)
- He always asks how "old" the food is before he takes a bite.
- Aoki reached level 59 in World of Warcraft before he decided that it had to stop.
- He knows "Warrick" (Garry Dourdan) from CSI.
- H2o is the shit.
- He asked a kid to draw a pizza. And Aoki put the design on one of his t-shirts.
(also a strong believer that everybody likes pizza).
- One of the few people that I've heard box filipinos as pacific islanders and not asians. (not being from the Philippines)
- He would play more ABBA, Village People, Bee Gees etc. if he could.
